About Me

My photo
In October, 1997, my husband Mark and I, decided to move to Ecuador. We settled in Cuenca, the third largest city. It is nestled in a valley surrounded by the Andes Mountain range. It has been an amazing aventure.

A Good Day

Our day in the ministry started out very promising today. I was able to place three books using a direct approach. That was very encouraging. Then we got a call from Mark and Beth and we met them for lunch downtown. What a great deal. We had a wonder lentil soup for starters. Then came a plato tipico that means local food common to Cuenca. A pork chop, potato pancake called a llapingacho, motepillo (an egg and hominy dish that is absolutely delicious) salad and for desert a fruit salad. All that food for a total of $2.80. What a deal. Here is a picture of where we ate today showing the view and the surroundings.

View from Resturant.

Inside the resurant. It is a century home that has been remodeled.

Also, Mark wants you to meet his new love. This is baby. It's a mutual admiration society at our house.
